Job Description
What You’ll do:
- Operate standard highway and industrial trucks on company property, public streets, and/or highways.
- Physically loading and unloading materials on company-operated trucks. Responsibilities include proper material handling either on company, customer, or supplier property.
- Daily care of equipment in charge, such as cleaning the equipment, checking oil, water, and battery, and entering this information onto log sheets. Responsible for adding these items as needed.
- Must exercise caution to avoid damaging material or property while operating equipment and must always exercise caution for the safety of other employees and the general public.
- Maintain written and/or electronic records as required by management (i.e., cGMP and ISO procedures).
- Keep equipment and surrounding work area clean at all times.
- Moving and loading hazardous waste, as directed by the supervisor.
The Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed:
Required:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Current and valid Missouri CDL license.
- Ability to read scales.
- Manual dexterity and good peripheral vision.
- Able to wear personal protective equipment, as needed.
Preferred:
Class A CDL license.
Hazmat certification.
3+ years of previous truck driving and/or yard driving experience.- Experience moving trailers in tight or limited spaces.
3+ years of forklift experience (stand up, sit down, electric etc.)
Experience performing basic truck maintenance.
Other:
- May be expected to move, carry, and lift approximately 60 pounds.
- May be expected to climb heights of approximately 10 feet and sit for long periods of time.
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, safety warning labels, and machine instruction manuals.
- Basic math, writing, and data entry skills.
- Good hand/eye coordination.
- Ability necessary quality and inventory control data gathering and input in either written or electronic formats.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
