Job Description

We are seeking a Freelance Assistant Handbag Designer for a top fashion brand in New York City!

Responsibilities:

• Build, create and maintain tech packs, trim sheets and design packages

• Ensure accurate data entry into Product Lifecycle Management 

• Present designs in working sessions and influence cross-functional partners on product direction

• Compile and refine market and trend research to inform product direction

• Complete pre-packages as a part of the research and development process for the area of ownership

• Shop and purchase samples for category ownership

• Additional tasks may be assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and CAD

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field

• Minimum 1-3 years of previous handbag design experience
